Almost a year ago I was Surigau city attending a special Christmas party for expats and was talking to a guy that was a father to three young girls. Being a father of a two year old girl the conversation turned to children and he gave me a special warning about the vulnerability of children of Mestiza (half Filipino half foreign) and especially girls.

He told the disturbing story of abuse of his eldest daughter by an unknown Filipino man a couple of year before. He explained that there is a thing among some Filipino men about being the first to break the virginity of a Mestiza girl. As it was explained to me it did not sound like it was as much a sexual thing as some sort of act of pride and aggression against foreigners. The Filipino man will apparently brag to others that he took the virginity of the foreigners child.

What i am talking about is simple and fast digital penetration to break the hymen that probably has nothing to do with deriving any sexual gratification. The possible motivation being a deep resentment and jealousy towards foreigners.

After that meeting I talked to other foreigners about it and heard similar stories across the Philippines so it did not seem to be an isolated incident. I also talked to Filipino friends who confirmed it also happened to Filipino children.

I warned the mother of my daughter to take special care.

To be honest I did not give it too much thought after that but last week I had a major wake up call. The mother of my daughter contacted me to tell me that what i have warned her about just happened to a three year old girl in the same apartment building she is living in and the girl often plays with my daughter.

The girl is actually pure Filipino. The father is an attorney so maybe it was also some sort of act of jealously and resentment against those perceived to be better off. The police were called but have no idea who the offender is. The mother of my girl is taking extra precautions.

If you are a father of children living in the Philippines you need to heed this warning and take extra care. The most vulnerable age for this type of abuse seems to be in infancy when the child can not explain what happened and identify the perpetrator. Having said that a young girls especially with a fair complexion are never completely safe in the Philippines. They will always needs extra protection.

We received this email from a reader who has listed every peso he has spent on his ‘honey-ko’, over P260,000. He doesn’t say how long this ‘whole time was’ but at P2,200 a week, plus milk for a baby at P1500 twice a month, let’s say he spent P300,000 on this Pinay. That is about US$7,000. At P3,000 a night for food, booze and barfine he could have had 100 nights of sin for the same money and not be feeling bitter about it.

His last remark about how he can’t believe the parents let this happen is indicative of his good heart and sadly, naivety. The truth is the parents taught her, supported her and encouraged her. Survival there is a very real thing and so when they tap into a walking ATM, it’s party time for everybody. Be glad it was only seven large, plenty of men have spent a lot more and ended up dead for their generosity. Editor.

If you visit StreetWise Philippines Dot Biz there is a great article there on penpal scams. It includes some photos taken from a genuine penpal website and examines them to detect the signs that something is not right. One girl (who might be a boy) has the lamest bio blurb going. If you fall for that lot of buwad (dried fish, very smelly) you will send money even as you click on the link to go there! Yet so many men do fall for her charms. Check it out. It has a scammer and potential transsexual, a working GRO and a genuine Filipina and why each is what it is.

Middle nov. 2008 i was contacted in ym by a girl, angelblack_0888@yahoo.com, nice talks, later a request for some money to buy food. I had no experience at all with these stories. I started to send, first small amounts (food, medication, transportation), later the amounts became bigger (new mobile). The name of the girl was “Michelle de Guzman”, 22y old. Now i know that it just was a fake name with falsified identity. But it was no problem, one of the tellers in Dinalupihan (Bataan) was a friend of “Michelle”. In july 2009 i travelled to Manila for a first meeting. Nobody showed up at the airport, “michelle” showed up later at the hotel, joined by Bhea, a gay, he was the owner of the ID “angelblack_0888″, i discouvered it later. Also joined them a friend, Mary ann and her little daughter Trisha. I think we visited all malls in Manila, shopping for Michelle and Bhea. They ware txting all the time (the gay gived instructions to Michelle). Mary Ann and her daughter just observed what was happening. The behavior of Bhea and Michelle was disturbing me. I sent Bhea away. We rent a van to go to Olongapo. The codriver was a relative of Michelle, so she told me. Michelle leaved me at evening, because she had to take care about her brother, she had to join him at a schoolactivity, her parents ware dead so it was her duty. Nobody returned, i called Mary Ann to know what was happening…
One hour later they arrived at the hotel, Mary Ann, Michelle, and 2 other gayfriends. Michelle had to confess things to me, she was not at all Michelle, but Pamela Santos, 17y old, 18 in oct 2009. She just was the face on the internet of a game that Bhea (in real Travis Vizda) was playing with me. I know now also that she delivered her “services” for other gay in her village, she only got a small part of the money i sent. She asked forgiveness and they invited me to join them to their village, Dinalupihan. So, i did… The next day, at evening, Pamela’s parents joined me at the room where i stayed. I decided to return to Manila to save my vacation. I really was confused… I visited friends in Cebu (an american retired soldier, he had the same experience on the net). I still had some contact with Pamela, because she was forced to do this to me, i tought. I decided to see her back before i returned home and yes, we made some promises to her, if she stopped her internet”work” i should send some support. Nice words, nice promises, i could return home not totaly disappointed.
I was invited to celebrate her 18th b-day on oct.30, so i returned to Dinalupihan. Pamela expected some amount for the celebration (20.000 pesos), but we never celebrated her b-day, she joined her friends all the time, leaving me alone at her place. Her parents tryed to entertain me, but this was the reason of my vacation.
I still was very naive… her explanation to me was that she didnt know how to handdle in my presense.
I continued my support because i made this promise to her parents. Pamela promised me to act more mature if i wanted to return. So i did, this year in april, with alot of expectations… nothing became true, she showed the same attitude, she hardly was at home. By respect for her parents, i didnt want to abuse their hospitality i stayed also all this time at their place. Back home all the nice talks restart, promises, begging for help for her study in a private school. Again i paid all schoolcosts, uniforms, books, seminars, excursions, midterm and finals. Pamela started at that time to talk about marrying me, i know now that it just was a warranty of my support. We should talk about in during my next visit. I arrived oct 22 in Manila, for the first time Pamela was also at the airport to pick me up. But from the start i had again that bad feeling and yes, already at the first day she joined her friends, leaving me alone, i went that evening to a hotel in Olongapo, because i told her before that i shouldnt stay this time if she didnt keep her promise to me to share all her time. Her father joined me for the night. They convinced me to return to Dinalupihan in the morning. Yes, i still wanted to give her a last chance. Her attitude changed but just for very short, so i decided to return to manila, staying in Dinalupihan should be again a wast of time by waiting for Pam. I recieved a few txt of her about my plans for her birthday, but it was no invitation to join her, just to get her gifts i think. I invited her to join me in Manila, twice she asked for money for transport, she never leaved her place. Just a few hours before my return home she came to Manila with her father, at that moment i heared from her school that she dropped school just after enrollment, i feeled so cheated, so i decided not to see her anymore, she probably just came to pickup her b-daygift (a laptop) and money for school again..
When y read all this y can say that i really was stupid, i admit. I was blinded by love, Pamela was blinded by money, she dont know the color of my eyes i guess, she only say the €-signs in it
Why i wrote this? By revenge? No, just as warning, you all could be the next. 3 days ago i saw that the first ymID is activated again, probably looking for a new victim.
So, stay away from angelblack_0888 or ella_rapella@yahoo.com just only contact them if you really hate your money!

The lady will greet you, usually with a, “Hi, bb (baby)” or a “Hi, hon”, ask a few questions about how old you are, where you are from, etc. say that you come from a nice place and are of a nice age, and then inquire if you want to “play in private” or “go private” which means that you will now witness some erotic action.
For this you will need to get credits. So, you are taken to another page where you use your credit card, and, after a minute or two, are loaded with $25 dollars or so of chat time. You are now ready to go. When you ask the lady to “play in private” with you, and press the “take her private” button at your behest, the model will generally do anything you want- in most cases, she will undress and show you every part of her anatomy. Just ask for it. On some occasions, she will perform various solo acts with her hands, sometimes, with sex toys, and “talk dirty” to you.

In september I agreed upon visiting her in Christmas to see if this relation was to be!!

She began to be aggressiv whenever I phoned her telling that she was busy, trying to survive in a tough society, she had told me she was working as a Microfinancial Consultant and I began to be suspicious, but everytime I expressed my doubts she convinced me again and things were back to normal!!

Now Christmas was approaching and things didn´t get better and luckely my feelings for her slowly began to deminish and I was very close not to go and I told her that in the phone, and again she showed her good talent as an actor and convinced me again!!

December 19 I flew out of Greenland to Copenhagen, and via Amsterdam I came to Manila december 22´nd. Went to sleep on the hotel and slept 20 hours!!

Weng Dano arrived december 23´rd in the evening, good looking but she was COLD!!!! The first thing she asked for were here christmas-present, I knew that she wanted a touch-phone so I brought her an expensive phone, she unwrapped it and and she didn´t even say thank you , I asked her if there were a little present for me but nope!!

She told me a firecracker has burnt her house down and that she had lost everything, only owned what was in her luggage and she need to go to Majayjay the next day to find a new place to live, I tried to comfort her and gave her money to a cab to Majayjay and back so we could spent the rest of the holiday together, 18000 pesos including money for a new bed, she went off december 25´th in the morning and I haven´t seen her since, She doesn´t answer the phone or mails anymore, I needed an explanation!
Friday january 1´th I went to Majayjay in a cab, needed peace of mind, we could not go all the way to her adress due to a bridge fallen down, but I went to the firedepartment and they told me that there were no fire in Majayjay Christmas Eve, Man I have been had!! It is long time since I have been so angry!
Went out of Manila january 4`th and it took me 5 days to get home and I am still suffering from jetlag while writing this.

Now they are trying to tell me that she is lying in coma at the hospital.. they must be nuts coz I can see whenever she is online!!!

Below is a copy of a letter that I sent to the Philippine Police concerning a gentleman in Ilocos Norte that scammed and Hustled me out of $2500.00 on the promise that he was getting his Visa and would be with me in America.

I want to report a Philippine Citizen, Ryan Matutino Callanga, scamming and hustling me out of my money on the presumption that he was applying for a Visa to come and live with me in the United States. It is a Scam and he has gotten me for $2500.00. I want to press charges against this individual and would like your advice on how to proceed. I want him arrested and punished for what he did to me. I have been corresponding to this gentleman for the past four months.

He led me to believe that he was in love with me and could not live without me. He said all the right things and played with my emotions. He made me fall in love with him as well. We talked about him coming to the United States and living with me for the past 6 weeks and in that time he led me to believe that he was in the process of applying for his Visa and needed money inorder to do so. I do not know what the process is and you know – “We were in Love”. So, I sent him money. Not all at one time, just at different intervals during the application process but totaling to $2500.00.

At on point during this, I was getting very curious if he was actually doing this or not; so, I asked him for something from the embassy that I could contact to get the information I needed to verify that all this was true. He invented an email address and sent it to me. The following is the email address he gave me that was supposedly for the United States Embassy there in Ilocos Norte:

It was all just strange. In America all Government Office’s email addresses end in “.gov”, this one did not but “Love Struck Idiot” that I am believed him and continued to send him money.

I met this gentleman on a dating site called TAGGED. His name on this site is Ezekiel Wilson. He is a Porno Actor and that is his Modeling name. Also, on his profile, he is telling everyone that he lives in Commerce, Ca. If I would have known that he actually lived in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, I would not have contacted him. But I did. (And this is also a very long false story he told me) And after 2 months of chatting with him on Yahoo Messenger, he confesses to me that he lives in the Philippines but that he loves me and that he really wants to be with me. And If I truly loved him, I would forgive him and help him come to the United States. Well, of course, by this time I am thinking with my penis instead of my brain – I mean a gorgeous young man wants to be with me, how can I refuse. This is of course a shorten version of the long trail of lies he gave me.

On the 18th of December, I sent him the balance of the fees for this supposed Visa and was also told that the Embassy was sending me all the information I needed to prove that the visa application was true through FedEx. And since then, I have had no contact with Mr. Callanga, I have tried to get him to be online for us to chat – he does not respond, supposedly he is having a problem with his Modem. I have tried to call him and the phone number does not work. It has been five days and I have not received one message from Mr. Callanga nor have I received a package from the embassy.

I will probably never see Mr. Callanga nor get my money back. This is a very expensive lesson for me. But to avoid this gentleman doing this again to some poor unsuspecting fool, he needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I am also sending a copy of this email to the United States Citizen Immigration Service and the Embassy.

Modus operandi of these criminals:

i have fallen victim to a trio of criminal scammers

here is my analysis though:

one will disguise himself as a graduate STUDENT,

and one CIVILIAN and one ASSET.

then they will tell you stories to make you believe them. such as a campaign against fraternities.

next, they will and they will ask you to do something. such as put ur name on a piece of paper, ur school name and ur adress.
then, they will ask you to put ur stuff in ur bag such as valuables. for security. which i believe is unreasonable and illogical, too bad i fell for it.

next they will ask you to move away from your stuff. about a mile. they will ask you to go to a restaurant and have that piece of paper signed by 3 people or women.

then about the ASSET, this one’s tricky, the asset and the CIVILIAN guy will go to the restaurant with the ASSET’S name, school name and address to make the VICTIM believe they did what they implied me to do also. which i stupidly did, cuz their reason are quite convincing.

“about a band rehearsal with 3 women in it getting pissed off by a group of guys from  a fraternity”

then, the ASSET and CIVILIAN guy will come back with their own signature on it. the one i told which 3 people should have signed it for a campaign against fraternities.

Then after that, MY piece of paper is blank, with only my name, school and address.

then the STUDENT asked me, to go to a restaurant with him. and he told me to sit and wait for 3 people bound to sign on my paper.

note: the paper they gave me is folded.

then next, the STUDENT said he will come back in a while. then i waited a bit, the STUDENT is gone. then i sort of got bored and decided to OPEN the paper, and to my surprise, it wasn’t the one i wrote on!

it was the ASSET’S paper!

note: i left ALL my valuables behind with the ASSET and CIVILIAN guy.

I was terribly alarmed, i rushed back, but to my surprise, they were GONE!!!

i asked the guard if they saw those 3 people, but the guard was sort of avoiding me, like he was paid to get his mouth shut.

i cried.. for my WALLET, PSP and CELLPHONE even my BOOKS was all in my BAG!!!

i rushed to the nearest police station for file casing. but they ignored me and decided just to blotter it.

i came home empty handed, and my mom was asking questions and stuff, i just made reasons to cover my mistake.

luckily, my stuff can be replaced. but not my life..
